Ready For Its Close-up
Spectators were out there by the hundreds already at one in the afternoon when I passed Times Square on the way to my credit union.

Did I miss anything exciting? I was asleep before 11. As much as I love NYC, no way would I get near the crowds on New Year's eve.
I saw the excitement from the comfort of my living room, so I don't know if I missed anything.
NY1 had the best coverage: No chattering announcers, just the ball dropping and people cheering.
