What I Did Today With One Less Hour
For one thing, I slept one hour later, since my body thought it was the old time.
Then, laundry! Myself! Instead of giving it to the laundromat to do. I saved about six bucks.
Also, decluttered the refrigerator of stuff that, let's face it, I'm not going to finish. Now I have room for Trader Joe's shopping tomorrow. Me and the 50,000 other people in Manhattan who are saying to themselves right now, "okay, so I got laid off, but now I can go to Trader Joe's on a Monday morning when there's no lines."

If you really want to go to Trader Joe's when there are no lines, when I am in a hurry I go after dinner. Say, 8 pm. They are open until 9 but nobody ever goes in the evenings...
Thanks, Anne.
I went in there once at 7:30 PM on a Saturday and breezed right through. I thought I'd hit on something and went back the following Saturday at the same time, and it was mobbed. And it wasn't the eve of a national holiday or a major sporting event. Who knows?

Saturdays can be tricky, I've been mobbed there at 2 pm but went once on the 4th of July at 2pm and it was dead since everyone assumed they were closed. I can't vouch for weekends.
Wednesday nights though, I tell ya!
